Gloria-Anas: Women of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (WELCA)

All women at First Lutheran Church belong to our WELCA group, the Glori-Anas. This very diverse group of women who range in age from Senior Citizens to Jr. High, come together to share their talents and experience in a wide range of projects and events. Come join us in one or more of the following activities:

- fashioning layettes for UTMB (a set which includes a gown, booties, blanket, and cap) used to present still born babies to their mothers after birth
- heart and cancer pillows for UTMB surgery patients who need "chest press" therapy
- The Glori-Anas have produced a cookbook entitled, "Past Treasures, New Favorites" featuring 500 recipes including recipes for the Oktoberfest "hot line" food items. Half of all the profits from the sale of this cookbook will go to the Capital Campaign to refurbish the Old Church.
