"God doesn't need your good works. Your neighbor does!"  - Martin Luther

- The Evangelism Team

No Saturday Worship Service this week! Please keep those attending the Lone Star Motorcycle Rally in prayer for safety as they travel. Because of the Lone Star Rally, we will NOT hold the Saturday worship service this week. Please plan now to attend on Sunday, November 3, at 10:00 am.

All Saints Sunday This coming Sunday we will celebrate one of the oldest of observances of the church – All Saints Sunday. This festival dates to at least the 4thcentury and was begun as a way of remembering the martyrs who died for the faith. This coming Sunday, we will read aloud the names of those who have died in the last year and worshipers will be given the opportunity of lighting individual candles as a remembrance of the cloud of witnesses, the saints, that surround us.

Sock Drive Extended! The Missions Team has extended the sock drive into early November! Special thanks to Thrivent Financial for a $250 Action Card to support this effort. Ruby Wulf acquired this card as a Thrivent Member. If you are a Thrivent Member, you are qualified for 2 such Action Cards per year for good causes. Ask Ruby Wulf about how to do this!

THANK YOU to everyone who helped to make the 38th Island Oktoberfest a great success! What a great event! Visitors from all over Texas came to Galveston just to experience the Island Oktoberfest. And, so many of our island neighbors enjoyed the festival. THANK YOU for your help in making it a success!

Congregational Dinner – Come one! Come all!  The Parish Life Team will be hosting a meal in honor of our veterans and in honor of Martin Luther’s 536th birthday on Sunday, November 10th following the Sunday worship service in the Parish Hall.  Everyone is invited to this fellowship opportunity!  There will be cake for Luther’s birthday!
